Who are we?

Stop Trump Coalition is a group of campaigners across the UK determined to resist Trump and Trumpism. Our political elite is failing abjectly to provide opposition or an alternative – so it’s up to all of us.

We are bringing together our experience – on countering racism and Islamophobia, fighting for climate action, organising workers, defending migrants’ and refugees rights, and campaigning for trade justice – to help build the broadest possible coalition. 

When Trump visited the UK during his first term, we mobilised hundreds of thousands of people to protest. Now, after his re-election, we have relaunched the coalition in this new, more urgent situation.

What do we want? 

To defeat the politics of Trumpism, and to promote an alternative, democratic vision of the world based on peace, social justice and international cooperation. 

Trumpism is: 

• for the billionaires and against the rest of us: tax cuts for the rich, free reign for big tech, and attacks on workers and public services
• death for our planet: denying climate science and boosting fossil fuels
• siding with war criminals – in Israel, Russia and beyond
• nationalism, colonialism, racism and xenophobia: systemic violence, mass deportations, a brutal ‘America first’ policy, and expansionist designs on other countries
• turning back the clock: undermining reproductive rights, backing abusers, and a war on trans people 
• an authoritarian takeover: silencing critics, scrapping civil rights, and undermining media freedom

The Stop Trump Coalition – our priorities 

Our objectives are to: 

• build a mass movement against any Trump visit to the UK
• fight back against the British government and political elite when it tries to appease Trumpism or adopt its policies
• support the Palestinian and Ukrainian people’s right to liberation and to live in a free Palestine and a free Ukraine
• stand with any group or people whose rights and freedoms are under attack by the forces of Trumpism

Our approach is rooted in solidarity and internationalism, with those targeted by the new far right at the heart of our campaigns.
