Possible Trump visit: Stop Trump Coalition to call ‘major protest’

Any visit to the UK by Donald Trump will be met with a “major protest”, Stop Trump Coalition campaigners have pledged.

Trump floated the possibility of an early UK visit to reporters yesterday, after a conversation with prime minister Keir Starmer.

The Stop Trump Coalition mobilised protests of up to 250,000 against Trump’s visit to the UK during his first term.

A Stop Trump Coalition spokesperson said:

“Keir Starmer may be willing to bend the knee to Donald Trump but the British public isn’t.

“Looking at his actions in his first days in office alone, we are confident that we can meet any Trump visit with a major protest.

“We will mobilise in numbers to say Trump isn’t welcome here.”
