2027: Trump not welcome in Manchester

It’s just been confirmed: Donald Trump is coming to Manchester next year.

Trump will be there as part of the G20 summit – and prime minister Burnham says he will be “really pleased” to welcome Trump to the city.

But we will be there too – save the date! We have a different message: Trump is NOT welcome in Manchester.

We know that it’s a year away – but this will be a huge summit, the biggest ever hosted in Manchester, and will be held in the heart of the city at the Manchester Central convention complex.

With a full year to prepare, we can focus huge organising efforts on the city, building the biggest possible resistance to Trump locally – and setting the stage to make this a major national demonstration.

We will be there in numbers to make clear that the UK needs to break with Trump, not roll out the red carpet again.
